ImageArsenal took control of the ‘ group of death’ with a convincing and comfortable win over Napoli. Arsene Wenger and Napoli spoke well of themselves and the respeect they have for each other and Ozil was offered an early opportunity to meet his old Los Blancos team mates:in Albiol and Callejon.

the team news was dominated by the absence of Argentine international Gonzalo Higuian. Arsene Wenger made two changes to the team that won in Wales, returnee Rosicky and Arteta came in for Serge Gnabry and Jack Wilshere. for the Azzurris, experienced Macedonian Goran Pandev replaced the injured Argentine.

Arsenal started the game with intent and were the team looking up for itfrom the start of the whistle and it didn’t take long for them to make their mark, Giroud masterfully laid on a pass for the on rushing Ramsey. The Welshman picked his spot and found Ozil who capped the fine move with an awesome leftt footed volley from the edge of the box.

The gooners were not to take their foot off the pedal as Giroud capped another fine move with a tap in from Ozil after a throw in mix up from Napoli in the 15th minute.

Arsenal high pressing tactics was paying off and the gooners won the ball many times in the opponents half and Ramsey would have scored a couple of goals himself. Arsenal completely outclassed the Italians in the first half with Ozil and Ramsey co-ordinating the orchestra.

in the second half, the north Londoners seemed to ease off a little but still held the Italians at bay with Benitez men only reduced to long distance shots. Kosceinly had a chance in the 76 minute from Arteta flick on and Giroud had a chance in the 90 minute but in the end, it was an accomplished performance. Best performance yet.

Perfect birthday giftfor Per Mertesacker (29), Oliver Giroud (27) and Arsene’s 17th year anniversary.

BIG QUESTION: this was the gooner’s 10th consecutive win and Wenger seems to have found the magic formular in Ozil and Ramsey. Could they go the length and end the barren years at the Emirates.
