It has been a while since there has been so much optimism at the Emirates. The Boss is in a confident mood, the players are putting on some great performances, a lot of lapses and defects shown in the team in previous seasons seems to have disappeared.

The Annual General Meeting was held this week and it was a direct opposite to last season’s. Arsene and Chairman, Sir Keswick were optimistic that the club’s trophy drought would be over soon. Ivan Gazidis even the luxury of making a joke about perenial rivals, Tottenham. The mood at the groove is at its peak.

Everyone would expect the buzz to be carried over to today’s game. Norwich should be the kind of games that Arsenal should be winning if we are to claim the title come May next year. However, this season has proved to be unpredictable, West Brom’s victory at Old Trafford, Spurs humiliation in the hands of West Ham were not on the script.

Norwich would not lie over and be beaten, Chris Hughton has recruited well this season: Gary Hooper, Gregory Van Wolfswinkel, Leroy Fer, Elmander, Martin Olsson, Nathan Redmond are very decent players and would draw confidence from their impressive showing against Chelsea in the last fixture.

If the gooners must win this fixture, they must exert their authority in the game. An early goal would do the magic and fans in the Emirates must be the 12th man and intimidate the opponents as I wrote some days back and Arsene stated in the AGM.

To injury news, Ozil gave everybody a scare when he was substituted in the 82nd minute in Germany’s last qualifier, however, it turned out to be a bruised knee and would be part of the squad. Giroud and Ramsey would hope to continue their brillaint form from the international break. Rosicky and Sagna, are back in the squad. Walcott  would return in two weeks and Podolski, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Diaby are still continuing their rehabilitation; however, the big news for this fixture in that Santi Carzola is back in training and make a return against Norwich.

Good to have the Saint Santi  back, can’t wait to see his combination with the Wizard of Oz and the rejuvenated Rambo.

Predicted Line ups: this is a hard one, a lot would depend on whether would give Carzola a start or if Ozil would be rested following the bruised knee in midweek. However, i would stress that I would want Ramsey to be given back his box to box midfield role, no need to play two defensive midfielders in Arteta and Flamini against Norwich. The starting line up is hard to predict but I would go for Szczesny; Sagna, Koscienly, Mertesacker, Gibbs; Flamini, Ramsey; Wilshere,Rosicky Ozil; Giroud.

Everything seems to be going well for the gooners and lets hope the form would continue against Norwich. With the confidence brewing at the Emirates, I don’t see the reason why Norwich should not be gunned down.

Let the dance continue.#coyg
