22-year-old Ghanaian left-winger Nana Ampomah has sent a “come-and-get-me” plea to Arsenal after he admitted that it would be a ‘dream come true’ to join his boyhood club Arsenal.

Ampomah plays for Waasland-Beveren in the Belgian Pro League, which is the reason why he is relatively unknown. But reports from his home country are suggesting a move to Arsenal will be something he won’t think twice before accepting.

The winger has made a great start to the season, catching the eye in his last seven league games where he scored five goals and provided one assist. He is clearly making enough of an impression to start to get national team chances.

Speaking to SportsWorldGhana.com recently, the in-form winger revealed his desire to play in the Premier League, particularly a move to The Arsenal.

“You can dream to play for Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal but then if they don’t come for you your dream never comes true” Ampomah admitted.

“We will see, I just have to work hard, focus on the game and we will see where I can get to.

“But I think I like Arsenal more because I like their style of playing. It’s one of the teams I really liked growing up as a child so really like Arsenal. It will be a dream come true to play for Arsenal.”

The Gunners do have a bit of a gap in the wide positions at the moment. Alex Iwobi is the only real natural winger in the squad right now, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Danny Welbeck and Mesut Özil having to play out wide to fill spaces as a result.

Nonetheless, it would be a bit of a jump for Ampomah to get a transfer to Arsenal after one good run of form. Perhaps the Gunners will send a scout over to check him out, but I wouldn’t expect anything more for now.
