Unai Emery has been given some hope over the fitness of one of his key players ahead of the clash with Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Gunners saw their long winning streak in all competitions come to an end last weekend as a late penalty kick, conceded by Granit Xhaka, witnessed the home side snatch a draw.
Many fans argued that the desperate injury situation at left-back which saw Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal both miss the game was part of why Arsenal dropped points at Selhurst Park.
Heading into the clash with Liverpool, Emery has been hopeful about his chances of not having to call upon midfielder Granit Xhaka again to feature at left-back.
And in the Gunners’ most recent injury update, the club has revealed that Nacho Monreal could be able to play on Saturday as he is set for a physical assessment before the game.
“Minor right hamstring. Being assessed ahead of Liverpool (h) on Saturday, November 3.” the club’s official site said.
