Lucas Torreira is settling in to Arsenal life with a minimum of fuss, but his north London adaptation hasn’t come without its challenges.
The 22-year-old has impressed Gunners fans with his combative displays since his summer move from Sampdoria – the latest of which came in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening .
The Uruguayan delivered a display that belied his years, at one point showcasing his full array of talents within a 15-second period as he battled for the ball in midfield .
And prior to the game, Torreira spoke about the biggest challenge he faces as he gets used to life in London.
“Moving to London has been completely new for me – it’s another country, another culture, another way of life,” he told Sportsbeat.
“I’m quite a normal guy, very natural. I spend a lot of time training but I’ve made the most of my free time to explore the city a bit.
“It’s important to discover what’s good to do in a city and London is one of the most important cities in the world.
“There are lots of new things but I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time here.
