Steve McManaman sends message to Arsenal fans

After a pulsating clash at the Emirates that packed quick runs, swift cut-ins into the box and near misses and a goal wrongly ruled out, eventually leaving the scoreline in a tie (1-1), Arsenal could be rollerskating back to spotlight again.

Liverpool should had taken the lead early on but Sadio Mane’s goal was wrongly ruled out as offside, after he poked home beating the outstanding Bernd Leno to the ball.

But that did not stop Liverpool from hammering the Gunners with waves of attack, as Virgil van Dijk came close to scoring twice.

Milner drilled home from outside the box, to put Liverpool ahead just one minute after the hour mark.

Though Arsenal held the bulk possession in Saturday’s late clash, the Gunners struggled to break the deadlock getting around Liverpool’s defence, with van Dijk steeling the box impressively.

It wasn’t until Nigeria international Alex Iwobi was fused into play did the Gunners finally break the jinx and Alexandre Lacazette right curler from the box got Arsenal back on leveled terms.

Arsenal could have easily caved in and looked rickety against the mounting attacks from Jurgen Klopp’s men, but the Gunners remained resilient and unflinched
