BBC pundit and former Premier League star Gary Lineker took to social media to react to the Gunners’ clash with Liverpool in the Premier League at the Emirates stadium on Saturday evening.
Arsenal went into the clash with the Reds on the back of 13 games without defeat across all competitions.
Indeed, Unai Emrey’s men were on a long 11-game winning streak which was brought to an end last Sunday against Crystal Palace who scored a late penalty kick to snatch a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.
Arsenal were looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday as they welcomed Liverpool to the Emirates stadium in what was a much-anticipated encounter between two teams who are seemingly challenging for the title.
James Milner gave the away side the lead in the second half through a thunderous strike and Arsenal appeared to be heading for a narrow defeat until Alexandre Lacazette stepped up with an equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw.
As a result, Gary Lineker took to social media to honestly express his thoughts on the Gunners under Emery so far…
Have to say, @Arsenal’s progress under Emery is significant. Well I didn’t have to, but sod it.
