“World Cup winner is coming to Arsenal” Reunion with Unai Emery confirmed

Manchester United star Juan Mata will be ditching his current club to join Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer for free, according to talkSPORT.

Mata, who join the Red Devils from Chelsea during 2014 January winter transfer window for a then-record fee of £37.1 million, will be out of contract with the Reds in the summer.

Despite helping Man United to seal a 2-1 victory over Juventus in Italy, the 30-year-old attacker has been numerously reduced in game time while under manager Jose Mourinho.

Mata leaving for free to join Arsenal seems to be what talkSPORT host Adrian Durham thinks speaking with partner Jason Cundy, Adrian said: “I thought we were going to do a Juan Mata love-in right.

“I thought we were doing an appreciation hour for Juan Mata. After I said this, just a couple of minutes ago, just had a message going; ‘He’s going to Arsenal on a free’.

“We can’t do this anymore, if he’s going to Arsenal. We all love him now, but who is going to love him when he goes to Arsenal?

“He’s going to be going to Arsenal on a free! He was with [Unai] Emery on a free wasn’t he, so he’s going to Arsenal on a free because he is out of contract in the summer.”

The World Cup and European Championship winner has formerly played for the Gunners current manager, Unai Emery, previously at Valencia before joining up the Blues in 2012.

During his time at Chelsea, Juan Mata was able to crack up 33 goals and provided 58 assists in 135 appearances for the Blues before opting for a move to Old Trafford scoring 42 goals for the Reds in 198 appearances.

Cundy asked Durham how he knows about the information he is claiming, Druham said:“This is breaking news, Juan Mata is going to Arsenal,” he continued.

“This is what I have heard, it is not official. My sources close to the club have said he is going to Arsenal on a free.

“By the way, when it happens, you can all ring up and say ‘We doubted you but, as ever, you were right.’”
