Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will go head to head for the services of Sampdoria full-back Joachim Andersen after both sides held talks with the Serie A club.
The 22-year-old only joined Sampdoria from Eredivisie outfit FC Twente in the summer of 2017 and made just eight appearances for the Italian side during the 2017-18 season.
The Denmark international has already made 13 appearances for Sampdoria this season, however, and it is believed that his performances have drawn a host of attention, with Manchester United also understood to be in the running.
Calciomercato is reporting Sampdoria directors Carlo Osti, and Antonio Romei flew to England on Thursday for talks with both Tottenham and Arsenal ahead of a potential switch to the Premier League.
The report adds that both clubs have scouted Joachim Andersen this month, with the London rivals now preparing to battle for his signature.
Joachim Andersen is believed to be valued in the region of £25 million by Sampdoria, a price both sides will meet as North London outfit are short of money and cannot afford big-money signings.
The Dane will be a great addition for the Gunners as he is young, reliable and has a good header.
