Arsenal have offered €16 million plus goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to Stade Rennais for their winger Ismaila Sarr, according to Daily Cannon.
Unai Emery is a reported fan of the speedy wide man and is planning to land the 20-year-old in January as he looks to add width to his attack.
The Gunners have been excellent going forward this season, but have looked obviously in need of a natural winger in the attack with Ousmane Dembele, Nicolas Pepe among others being linked to the club.
However recently, Stade Rennais have been reported to be interested in signing the Gunners third choice goalkeeper Martinez as they look to replace Tomas Koubek who is leaving the club next month.
The Gunners have decided to take advantage and offer them a swap with extra cash as incentive in a deal that looks to be a good one for all parties involved, since the Gunners were always going to sell Martinez either way.
Stade Rennais are likely to stall the deal anyways for as long as the can in January as they look to capitalize on his good form this season for as long as possible.
The young Senegalese international has scored eight times this season and has laid on six assists in 23 appearances including important goals to help his side qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa league.
Rennais are yet to indicate whether they’ll accept the deal, but the Gunners will be hoping they do as early as possible as Emery’s side look to land a top four finish in the second half of the season.
